Ellenbrook 80 series wins again

Ellenbrook’s 80 series project has once again received industry accolades, taking home the award for Best Planning Ideas – Small Project Award as well as a Commendation in the Planning Ministers Award category at the WA Planning Institute of Australia Awards for Excellence 2018.

The project was recognized as a significant step for the industry towards diversity in WA medium to high density housing typologies and for embedding the building industry within the project and collaborating with approvals authorities.

The Minister for Planning, Hon. Rita Saffioti MLA said:

“The Verge Micro project exemplifies an innovative approach to providing a diverse range of housing options in proximity to a range of amenities, services and public transport within the Ellenbrook Town Centre. As a City, we must continue to innovate and adapt to meet the range of needs and demands of different types of households by focusing on housing affordability, creating dwelling diversity and ‘downsizing’ opportunities for our ageing population. I congratulate the project team on the success of this demonstration project, which articulates the benefits of this small lot product in contributing to housing diversity.”
