Parks and Playgrounds in and around Ellenbrook

Get out and about in Ellenbrook, with plenty of parks and playgrounds to explore within Ellenbrook. Whether you’re looking for a playground to take the kids, a place to enjoy a quiet walk, or somewhere for your furry friends to run around, there’s plenty of places to discover.

Hesperia Park

Located in the Town Centre, is Hesperia Park which features a fantastic playground with a big slide and a 7 metre lookout tower!

As well as the playground, there is plenty of grass with a big kick about area, shady spots, nature play and lots of footpaths, perfect for a scoot.

The sand-fall play space also features plenty of climbing elements, with timber stepping stumps found all around the area. There’s also a climbing wall, a low rope net to clamber over – great for little ones, a nest swing swing to laze about on, and a basketball court.

Find Hesperia Park at Goodwood Cres, Ellenbrook (very close to the new Tonkin Highway exit).

Ellen Stirling Gardens

Located north of the Town Centre, Ellen Stirling Gardens was designed to commemorate and celebrate the life of Ellen Stirling, after whom Ellenbrook has been named. It features design elements, such as brick and wrought iron to reference the Georgian character of Ellen’s early colonial heritage.

The park is divided into 3 zones; a community zone, memorial zone and family zone.

The memorial zone offers quiet spaces for reflection and celebration. The central memorial space is the largest area, which has been designed to cater for larger groups and events, featuring a central pavilion. There are four intimate memorial gardens, with each featuring different character and artworks.

Ellenbrook BMX and Skate Park

One of the state’s best BMX bike and skate parks is in Ellenbrook.  It has several different sized jump ramps, bowls, ledges and platforms for all levels of riders and skaters.

The bike and skate park is a very cool gathering place for athletic young people but also a great forum for locals – young and old – to visit.

Woodlake Amphitheatre and Woodlake Park

This lovely park in Ellenbrook covers a large area and has many gorgeous spots for local people to visit, as well as being a very pretty place for photos.  It’s also perfect for a family day out, or a nice relaxing walk along the boardwalk.

The amphitheatre is also host to several community-based events each year, including the ANZAC Dawn Service.

Get there via Highpoint Boulevard, Ellenbrook.

The Billabong

The Billabong is one of our local area’s hidden gems and a lovely cool spot to visit on a warm day.  It’s mainly hidden from view but accessible by footpath from Lissadell Terrace, Ellenbrook.

This spot is part of Mornington Park, Mornington Parkway, Ellenbrook.

Delapre Park

Delapre Park is another favourite with local families and is right inside the estate!  With shaded places to sit whilst the kids play on the swings or kick a footy on the grass, people come from far and wide to enjoy this amazing nature playground. There are so many things to do – for young and older kids, including a spider net climbing structure, birds nest swing and a flying fox.

Dunnett Park

Dunnett Park boasts a substantial, picturesque shade area, large enough for a few families! Paired with BBQs on site, it’s a great place to get together with family and friends.

Take your camera and enjoy a day out at Dunnett Drive in Annie’s Landing, Ellenbrook.

Vasse Park

Shaped like a half moon, this park is a favourite with local families and has plenty of space to kick a ball or have a family picnic or barbecue.  There is also a great playground for kids.

A fairly new dog friendly space, Annie’s Landing is a fully fenced park featuring loads of fun agility equipment for your four-legged friend to enjoy.
