Ellenbrook's a charm for the Nipps family

“We started our journey to Ellenbrook in 2002 when we visited some family members who were living here and fell in love with the place.

“It had a real country feel as there were not many houses built at that stage. We loved it so much that I suggested to my husband we move to this new area, and as they say, the rest is history!” Isabella said.

Since then Isabella and Grenville have built two homes, their first in 2003 after renting for a year, a second in 2009 and now are building a third in the new town centre precinct of Drummond.

“Our first home was a large four bedroom, two bathroom home with a massive kitchen, family room and games room.

“It was the perfect family home for Grenville and I and our three children for six years. We had a great backyard and lovely entertainment areas and was perfect to raise a family,” Isabella explained.

However, once all three children married and left home, Isabella and Grenville decided it was time to downsize, so went searching for the perfect next home in Ellenbrook.

“We knew our home was too big for just the two of us and our dog and bird, and we were lucky enough to come across a vacant block with beautiful views of the bushland at Ardmore Parade.

“When we told our good friends who lived across the road from us about the block, they came along with us – purchasing the block just two doors down and building with the same company we did!” Isabella said.

Isabella said the third build was the next step in their journey at Ellenbrook as Grenville retires at the end of the year.

“We decided to look at lifestyle villages, but decided it was not for us. We heard about the new Innovo homes in the Drummond Precinct in the Town Centre and thought we would go and have a look at the displays and loved them so much we purchased one.”

“We are so thrilled with this option as we downsize further as it keeps us in our beloved Ellenbrook and close to all the amenities,” she said.

The Nipps are building a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with Thompsons Sustainable Homes and are excited about the next chapter of their life in Ellenbrook.

“The home has such a spacious feel, yet is the perfect size for just the two of us and our Chihuahua, Snow,” she said.

“We also love the idea of building an eco-friendly home too.”

Ellenbrook is a joint venture between the Housing Authority and a LWP Property Group Syndicate and Megan Buckland, Ellenbrook Project Manager with LWP Property Group, said the Innovo homes had attracted a lot of interest from downsizers.

“The homes are located on a green title, which means there are no ongoing strata fees to worry about and they are also in the perfect lock up and leave product,” she said.

“They are also really modern in style and in a perfect location, walking distance to the Town Centre, public transport and directly opposite a gorgeous park,” Megan added.

The Innovo Display Village in Ellenbrook Town Centre officially opened in early 2017 and to date over 40 homes had been sold in the precinct.

The turn-key homes are just a 6 minute walk from the shopping precinct, 50 metres to a bus route and 500m from Ellenbrook’s Main Street and are priced from $308,000.

Builders Aveling Homes and Terrace  have a range of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes on display.  The homes are located on Hesperia Parade in Ellenbrook and are open Saturday and Sundays between 1pm and 5pm and Mondays and Wednesdays between 2pm and 5pm.
